It was such a treat to design this custom winged pendant for a private client.
This piece was inspired by a very faint photo that my client found on the internet from one of his favorite authors and thought leaders. While the inspired piece was made of gold and red materials, we created a sister piece using a different color palette.
The winged pendant itself is hand carved using sterling silver metal. Inlaid in the wings of the pendant is a deep navy blue enamel.
The center of the winged scarab is marked by a hand-carved lapis lazuli stone — very indicative of the Egyptian-inspired motif.
Finished with a sturdy sterling silver chain soldered to both wings, this pendant is one that our client will keep forever and pass down to his family.
